Rooster Run is/was a general store in Nelson County, KY. A guy by the name of Joe Evans opened the place in 1967 and, a few years later, fashioned a decent side hustle in caps thanks to the logo he created and the ginormous fiberglass rooster in front of the store.
The name "Rooster Run"? It came about one night after the store had closed and Evans and his buds were drinkin' beer when one of the men's wife arrived, sending him running -- like a rooster!
Shortly thereafter, Evans' mom fashioned sewing some caps with the name "Rooster Run" on them and the rest is history.
There's not really a town called Rooster Run, even though the location might be listed on maps and such. The mail really comes from Cox's Creek.
If you never got around to gettin' you some Rooster Run swag, well, now, is your chance thanks to the Uncommonwealth.
