Over its 25-year existence, Madison-Model competed in athletics and its baseball teams were twice state runner-up (1945, 1946) and its basketball teams competed in the tourney four times (1939, 1944, 1945 and 1948) as the 11th Region champion. Its football teams were coached by the infamous Roy Kidd who, from 1956 to 1960, went 41−10−1.
