Description
Gallant Fox only ran for a year (1929-30), but he did some serious damage at the betting window. As a three-year-old, he won nine of his ten races and became the second horse to win the "Triple Crown."* Mr. Fox was also the first US Triple Crown winner to sire a second-generation Triple Crown champion when his son Omaha won the U.S. Triple Crown in 1935.
And, nope, there was no "Gallant Fox Bourbon" that we know of, so we decided to distill our own. Because we can (grin).
*The term "Triple Crown" wasn't commonly used back then, but the New York Times started using it in 1930 to describe Gallant Fox's achievements.
