Those of y'all from western Kentucky know the story of Calvert City, but for the rest of you looking for a little history lesson, here goes...

During the Ohio River flood of 1937, Calvert City's business district and much of the residential area was caput thanks to the floodwaters.

In the Forties, the construction of nearby Kentucky Dam by the Tennessee Valley Authority revived the area and opened the way to the construction of many industrial plants like B.F. Goodrich, Ashland Oil, and Wacker Chemical.

In our retrofitted design world, we would have the Calvert City Chamber of Commerce putting out something like this groove, stamped with the pun'y "A dam fine Kentucky place" declaration.

If you like throwback, this t-shirt is everything you've dreamed of and more. It feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for both men and women.
