Unbeknownst to most of us, Louisville (apparently) had an S&M swingers club back in the day!
When the crews were tearing things apart to make way for Whiskey Row, they stumbled upon a club named "LATEX" (Louisville Area Trust EXchange ) two floors below ground level @ 119 East Main Street.
According to WHAS-TV, the club opened in the 1970s and remained operational until the 1990s. An anonymous former member of the club said there were more than 1,000 dues-paying patrons and that the goal was to practice safe sadomasochism.
